Penzion Lion is situated in the tourist centre Pec pod Snezkou – Velka Upa in Giant Mountain National Park, directly next to the ski slope „Portasky“, which is approximately 100 meters above the start station of the three-seater skyline cableway. Further there are two additional T-bar ski-lifts in area. The Penzion is approximately 1km far away from Pec pod Sněžkou skiing centre, where is available another 11 skipe slopes. During the winter the transport between Pec pod Sněžkou and Velká Úpa is provided by the ski bus free of charge. There is also a ski lift available next to the Penzion with the possibility of the night skiing. All the year round a point of interest is the highest mountain of the Czech Republic - Sněžka ( 1602 m). When the weather is nice, you will be astonished by the panoramic view not only of the wide surroundings of the Giant Mountains but of the Orlické Mountains and Poland from there too. The chair lift which is approximately 1 km far from the Penzion can take you up on Sněžka. There is the possibility of tourist trips or mountain cycling on the Giant Mountain cycle trails during summer. The Penzion Lion went through the complete reconstruction in 2001. At the present we could offer to our quests double rooms and three and four beds´appartments on the first floor and quiet sitting in our restaurant with a bar and grill/B-B-Q on the patio/terrace on the ground floor. Total capacity is 35 beds. Each room has a bathroom (WC, shower, wash basin) and SAT-TV. During the winter the transport of your luggage between the parking-site and the Penzion is provided by the snowmobiles. After the agreement we could also provide the parking reservation for the group of our guests at the paid central parking area in advance. During the summer months we offer group discounts and parking by the Penzion free of charge. The Penzion accommodation is suitable for the family holidays, company meetings, corporate trainings or sports events.
