The Hotel Karel IV. (Charles IV Hotel) has an optimal location in view of the fact that it is situated a few minutes from the town centre in a peaceful residential quarter near to a large park, adjoining the River Jizera valley. This is the starting point of many tourist paths, which may be used both for tourism as well as trips on mountain bikes. Turnov itself is a centre of one of the most beautiful parts of our republic – Czech Paradise and has an advantageous position, as a starting point for trips around the neighbouring area. A large number of natural curiosities, Hruboskalsko, Skalní město (Rock Town), the castles of Sychrov, Hrubý Rohozec, Hrubá Skála, the Gothic castles of Kost, Valdštejn, the ruins of Trosky, Frýdštejn, Zbirohy and many others provide an opportunity of copious cultural and tourist enjoyment. The hotel offers 17 double rooms, 7 rooms with three beds, 2 suites and 1 room suitable for physically handicapped persons. All the rooms have bathroom/toilet facilities, TV+SAT, Internet connection and most of the rooms are equipped with a mini-bar. The six double rooms with a balcony face the garden overlooking the swimming pool. All the rooms are non-smoking. Guests can make use of a lift if they so wish. The ancillary accommodation premises consist of 5 studios – 2 three-bed and 3 four-bed rooms with an equipped kitchenette, WC, shower, TV+SAT and 2 suites for 4 persons – 2 separate bedrooms, dining room with TV+SAT, equipped kitchen, shower, WC. Hotel guests can make use of an outside swimming pool of 10x5m, children’s paddling pool of 3x2m in an enclosed garden with outside seating and parasols, children’s corner with sandbox and swings, sports-field with a basketball hoop, bike room and an enclosed car park. The “U Karla IV Pizzeria” is looking forward to your visit. You can taste Italian specialities, as well as Czech cuisine. The restaurant with a separate lounge has the capacity for a total of 70 people. It offers barrier-free access and special toilet facilities for physically handicapped individuals.
